I started playing music with piano and guitar in elementary school, quickly falling in love with songwriting. My main interest was creating recordings, not performances, so I focused on electronic music and learned new instruments whenever I wanted to try out a new genre or sound. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2023 with an interdisciplinary degree focused on creating healthy collaborative environments in educational settings.

When not teaching I like to modify my instruments and record original songs at home. My goal as an educator is to make music less intimidating so that beginners feel comfortable exploring their instrument without doubting their abilities.

I believe that if learning guitar is ever frustrating or unwelcoming to the student, the teacher has to take a different approach. 
My vision is simple: help the next generation express themselves through music.
