Come Work With Us

Teaching music is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. We built In Home Music Mentor around that belief, and we’re always looking for talented, passionate musicians who want to share what they love with students in their own community.

We operate across 25 cities in the US, connecting students of all ages with background-checked, professionally vetted teachers who come directly to their home. No commute for the student. No studio overhead for you. Just great lessons, one on one, in an environment where students actually feel comfortable enough to grow.

Why teachers love working with us

Built around how you actually want to teach

We match you with students based on your schedule, your location, and your teaching style. You set your availability, we handle the logistics. Our team is small, responsive, and genuinely invested in making this work for you as much as for the families we serve.

We’re growing fast, which means more students, more cities, and more opportunity for teachers who want to build something meaningful alongside us.

You set your availability

Tell us when you can teach and where you can travel. We build around it rather than asking you to fit a timetable.

We handle the logistics

Matching, scheduling and the day-to-day admin sit with us, so your time goes on teaching rather than chasing enquiries.

A team that answers

We are small and responsive, and as invested in making this work for you as for the families we serve.

Who we are looking for

Musicians as serious about teaching as their craft

We are interested in hearing from musicians who are as serious about teaching as they are about their craft. If the following sounds like you, we would love to talk.

You can teach beginners with confidence

You play piano, guitar, voice, ukulele or another instrument at a level where you can take students from beginner through intermediate.

You have taught before

Private lessons, school programs, community music or something else entirely. Credentials help but formal degrees are not required. What matters is that you can teach.

Transport and a background check

You have reliable transportation to reach your students, and you are comfortable passing a background check. It is required for every In Home Music Mentor teacher.

Curious what your future colleagues are like? Meet the teachers already working with us across 25 cities.
