Real-World Performance & Industry Experience

After graduating from Berklee, Jerry toured throughout the East Coast indie rock scene during the late 2000s and 2010s, gaining valuable experience performing for different audiences and in a variety of live music environments.

He later relocated to California in 2014 and continues to stay active in the local music community. After spending a decade working in banking, Jerry returned to his passion for music and now performs as a session keyboardist, guitarist, and bassist throughout Bay Area communities and festivals.

Teaching Experience & Approach

Jerry’s teaching style centers around creativity, adaptability, and student engagement. Before joining School of Rock San Ramon as a piano and guitar instructor, he developed an approach that focuses on meeting students where they are musically.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals. Depending on the student, that may mean building strong fundamentals, exploring a favorite genre, developing technique, improving musical expression, or preparing for live performance.

Students can expect a supportive and structured learning environment that encourages both technical growth and creativity.

Creative & Community Work

In addition to teaching and performing, Jerry contributes to video production and music projects for various organizations and communities, including work with SOBEM and HKCC.
